Generally speaking students begin looking for accommodation from January onwards for occupation in July. The students will be required to sign their tenancy agreement as soon as they have found the house or the rooms they are happy with. Normal procedure is to pay a deposit to Easi-let which will be retained to ensure that property is there for them in July and held for the term of occupancy and to cover the cost of any damage to fittings and furniture. Reasonable wear and tear is not regarded as damage and will not be charged for. The Cost Depending on size and location the cost per room in a house with lounge, kitchen and appropriate number of bathrooms is between £55 and £65 per week. Tenants are responsible for all running costs of the property excluding decorating and general maintenance. |
